How
..

Right ans is 2. Eventually the other 5 candles will melt after some time and the other 2 candles have gone out but not melted.
Thanks Reet, smart answer !!
I think ans is zero because they just said 2 not 2 candles.
7
Shouldn’t the answer be 7 and not 2 bcoz the ques is in present tense. Having 2 candles will be future tense. Ques will accordingly be “How many candle will I have?” Just a thought…..

Ur retarded as hell
0
7 ? they asked ‘how many candles’ not ‘how many lit candles’
Actually right man
That’s what I thought too I checked and we’re actually right it’s 7
Thank you same answer
7
They have gone out but it is also said that 7 candles are lit.. weather it go out or remain there it self it have to melt na????
i think it sld be 7 coz when all of the candle melted u still have some part of the candle left
What
but it depends on ur perspective “eventually” you said.. that means the seconds and the few minutes before the rest melts you will have 7
Check your tenses mate ! You asked if I have lit (present) not if I had lit (past then 2 would be the right answer) ! So 2 blown off candels while 5 are still lit so the answer is 7candels (candels don’t run out within seconds do they ???)
check your spelling bro. candle not candel…
{} is the most correct answer. Empty set/void is the best answer because not enough information is given about the number of candles to begin with to give an exact answer.
The second most correct answer is 7+
It’s states that 7 candles were lit but we don’t know how many candles were there that weren’t lit. Regardless of whether a candle is lit or not, it is still a candle.
Read the question they clearly mentioned that he/she have 7 candles with him/her
7
5, its logic answer
Honey, “its logic answer”, doesn’t make sense. If you were logical you would know this.
If the question was , If I have 7 candles lit , 2 mins later 2 went out. How many candles would I have 25 mins later ? Then your answer would be right.
Smart answer but if I say ans is 7
Because it is mentioned 2 candles are out and 5 are still burning and if we count for how many candles then it will be 5+2=7. The question relates to present tense not what if happen after.
If I justify your answer then one day those 2candles will also litt and answer will be zero.
Hope u all be convinced with my views.
Actually this question doesn’t have any answer its simply like
“how u see the glass which is half filled”.
7 because they never asked for how many candles there was left lit they asked how many he has left or because the questions was in past tense
How ??
Correct answer is 2…becoz.. We have 7 candles lit.. 2 go out 5 candles melt…. Its easy question……
7
7
why 2?
7 candles
5
2
Ryt answer is 7 according to Google?
7
What is the answer ?
That is called wax not candles
2 candles mufasa
7 is the correct answer….bcoz…there is no tym duration mentioned in the question….5 will b glowing and 2 blews off…….so totally 7 candles are there…..
2 is not the smart answer according to this question…….
Since 2 blew out there’s a possibility of wind in the room (it’s also not mentioned if all are in the same room)
And also not mentioned when will you count how many you have left.
If you count right after this question is asked then 7
Or ask the question and wait for 4 hours to count (which is quite stupid) then 2
7
THE Ans IS 9. Because its written in Present Tense that ” I HAVE 7 CANDLES LIT” , “2 BLEW OUT” Which is in Past Tense . So the correct answer is 9 (7 candles lit + 2 blew out) as the question is asked in present tense i.e. HOW MANY CANDLES DO I HAVE LEFT ?
And if the Question was ” How many candles will I have left ? ” then the Answer will be 2.
Hope all are satisfied with my Explaination.
Thanks.
Grt …
They do not specify how long the candles burn for, though.
2
Well as it has been said that 2 candles blew out. So as the time passes 5 lit candles will be melted out. What is left with us are the 2 candles which were blown out.
Well the best answer is I don’t know. Why? Because the question isn’t asking about how many candles based on their condition but the actual amount of candles (Reminder, the question only stated the candles based on their conditions. ). It might be 100 or 10000, idk.
After melt….there is some part of candles…soo part of candles also called candle
Candles never melt completely, so even if it melts all the way, it’s still a candle, thus total candles =7
It might be 9 also.. 7 lit and 2 blew .. he dint ask how many lit candles r there..
Birthday candles do.. :p
However if you measured as soon as the first two went out, wouldn’t that result in there being 7 still?
2 and 7 are both correct
Answer is 2…. Because lit is in third form of verb… Which means the candles were lit in past…. Now they are melted.. So it’s 2
The 2 candles which blew out only remains, rest will gradually melt and finish
7
Nice and interesting puzzle
i think you are stupid
U nailed it ???
However the word determining the tense is “I have”. The candles are lit, which in this case is a discriptor and not the verb meaning. For example, how you said “they are melted”. In that case “are” determines you are referring to the state of the candles in the present, which are described as being melted.
Didnt u
nderstant
Exactly my thoughts
This is right
Right answer is 2
There may b 3 answers. First is 7 as 2 go out so 7 are still lit and remaining two may have blew out after they got finished.u still have 7 candles lit.
Second answer can be 9 as the 2 candles that go out do not necessarily go out after they r finished. They may have blew out before. So you still have 9 candles left.
Third one is tricky. By other logic you are left with = no of candles u originally had before – 9. They r left with you. 9 of them u have used in one or other way.
But answer 2 is totally incorrect as 7 candles are still lit even if 2 go out after they are finished. They will blow out that is assumption.
I hope I covered each aspect of this question.
Multiple Answers for multiple scenarios:
A) 7 : Considering the fact that you answer at the immediate instant the question is asked.
B) 2 : Considering the fact that you are a lazy brat who waits for an entire day or two before answering and provided the candles don’t blow out by any human or natural interference(s).
C) 9 : Considering the question to be framed as “I have 7 lit candles and 2 blew out (candles) “ , (basically someone who over-analyzes grammatically ).
Over thinking it lol
2
It’s 7
It’s 7 because it say if 7 candles are lit and 2 go out how many are left it doesent day where did the melted candles go it just said how many are Left and seven are left because there are the 2 lit ones and the 5 ones that melted
Your reading the riddle wrong
Your saying Blew Out
In the question in does not say that It says,”I have 7 candles lit, 2 GO OUT
Correct yourself
Right!
Smart
Candles don’t just melt away like vapour disappears. Wonder how long it took you to come back and find the 5 melted away. This thing has got no straight answer cos no time frame.
ur really tht dumb. The fuckin answer is 7.You have 7 candle lit,2 go out,how many candle do u have left.Stupid fucks u have 7 candles.Even if 2 go out,YOU STILL HAVE 7 CANDLES
The answer is zero candles
That doesnt make sense at all. The right answer is 7.
With your logic: you have 2 dollar. How many dollars do you have?
Normal: 2 dollar
Your answer: 0 because the 2 dollar will be spend somewere in the future

2 go out
7+2= 9
Turn the nine upside down

666 illuminati confirmed
The answer is fucking 7 y’all so dumb
9 the two candles that went out are still there. So 7 + 2 = 9
there are 2 left.
the 5 that were left burning eventually melt, so the 2 that were blown out stayed as candles
At least he could probably spell “You’re”
Answer is 9. Says that the two candles BLEW out, Not melted, so taking the 7 candles that are lit plus the ones no longer lit that were probably purposefully blown out, its 9.
Yes it is 5
